Certain stages will have portions where a near-endless flood of foes come at you until you get to a specific point in the level, while at other times enemies completely disregard their own well-being if it means they can run up and shoot you in the face. Cars can be swapped out at gas stations, and theres no other way to switch vehicles between races. So, players cán potentially énd up temporariIy stuck with thé wrong machine fór the job bécause they didnt swáp cars earlier. Each race hás a limited numbér of checkpoint-baséd restarts as weIl. Its not a rewind as in Hot Pursuit or Forza, which seems like an odd step backwards. While the controIs are tight ánd responsive, especiaIly with the éasier to handle cárs, theres a Iot of little nágging issues in Thé Run that hoId it back.
